Hingham Annual Lincoln Day Ceremonies

Saturday, February 7. We will meet at the Old Ship Church on Main Street at 9:30 AM. At 10:15, all military units will muster and march through the cemetery to the grave of Gen. Benjamin Lincoln for a ceremony and salutatory volley and then most likely the 22nd will lead the march to the grave of Gov. John Andrew, governor of Massachusetts during the civil war, where we will pay homage to his memory. We will then regroup and march back to the church for a ceremony and then march through town to the statue of Lincoln for a salutatory volley and wreath laying.
